PlaySmart Omaha took a big step forward by implementing a two-week, full day Academy this past summer. The Academy was held at the University of Nebraska-Omaha which provided great facilities as the program was held during the hottest days of the year. Over 40 local youth, many from rural communities participated in the program.
Youth were treated to special guest speakers, coaches and teachers. From volleyball to golf to football, youth were engaged in various sports. They participated in life skills and academic enrichment activities as well as swim lessons in the UNO pools!
