PlaySmart recently was named a national semi-finalist for the Lids’ Tip the Hat Award recognizing top organizations around the country for their work keeping kids healthy and active. Lids, the hat and sports apparel company launched the first ever Tip the Hat Award this year and received over 70 applications. PlaySmart was nominated through a store employee in Omaha and then selected as a semi-finalist. The final selection was through a Facebook voting process.
At a banquet at the Lids’ headquarters in Indianapolis, PlaySmart was selected as a runner-up for the top prize and was awarded a $10,000 grant. Grant funds will be used to support programming and outreach in Omaha. Thank you very much to the Lids Foundation for recognizing PlaySmart as a top organization!
