| Chelsea Piers Summer Camp Scholarships PlaySmart continued its 2003 activity through summer camp scholarships for needy children in the New York area. In August, PlaySmart partnered with Chelsea Piers (http://www.chelseapiers.com) and it's summer sports camps to provide twelve children with a two-week summer camp experience at Chelsea Piers' state-of-the-art Manhattan facilities. Through PlaySmart's relationship with Sanctuary for Families (http://www.sanctuaryforfamilies.org), twelve children were selected to participate in this fun-filled experience. Activities included an assortment of sports including gymnastics, soccer, baseball and ice skating. All of the kids enjoyed their camp experience and will take with them great memories, friendships and important lessons as they prepare for their future. PlaySmart continues to successfully use partnerships to fulfill its mission of providing positive learning experiences for deserving children. We're excited about our partnership with Chelsea Piers and look forward to leveraging this relationship to create partnerships with other organizations such as Sanctuary for Families. |
