| CFM Foundation / N. E. Patriots Football Camp On June 14, 2003, PlaySmart sent 50 kids from Boston to a world-class football camp in Hartford, CT. The camp was conducted by the CFM Foundation (www.cfmfoundation.com), which is run by Eric Mangini, Defensive Backs Coach for the New England Patriots. The camp lasted from 8am until 4pm. The kids had a great day, learning about football and also about life. There were many celebrities in attendance, helping to coach the kids. In total there were nearly 400 kids at the camp. PlaySmart’s kids were picked up by bus in Boston and sent down for the day, returning that evening. Brendan Sullivan and Rick Kahn, both PlaySmart directors, made it all happen for the PlaySmart kids. They had a great day and enjoyed meeting some of the New England Patriots players, including Tebucky Jones (now with the New Orleans Saints), Pepper Johnson and Bryan Cox. Overall it was a great day!!! The kids learned something about football and also some important lessons about life from their role models. We look forward to further developing our relationship with CFM and the New England Patriots in the future! |
