NEW YORK CITY MARATHON

In November, 2001, PlaySmart’s Treasurer, James Lowry, completed his third consecutive New York City Marathon (http://www.nyrrc.org). In the process, James was able to raise $20,000 for PlaySmart (nearly $1,000/mile – not bad!). Additionally, James was able to raise another $20,000 for the Bill Matheson’s Childrens’ fund (Bill, who was a friend of James, died on 9/11 ).

Given the difficulties our country has experienced since September 11, 2001, the New York City Marathon was a huge day for New York City. We’re proud that James was there to represent PlaySmart and to help New York City celebrate this special day. Great work, James!
